Our Themes for this half term:
We have these exciting themes planned:
A copy of the planning for each week can be found on the noticeboard.
We have changed our snack routine and have introduced a ‘rolling snack’. This means the children choose if and when they would like a snack. The snack is set out and the children serve themselves. This promotes independence, decision making and turn taking. It is working well so far!
The preschool have been involved in ‘Lavendon Rocks’. We have painted some stones and written messages on them. Now we just need to hide them!
We are very fortunate that Mrs Houghton (reception Teacher at Lavendon School) will be visiting us once a week with her guitar for a singing session. We will also continue our fortnightly visits to the school.
Lavendon School Visits:
We are continuing our close relationship with Lavendon School.
Children who attend on Friday afternoons will be visiting once a fortnight.
We are continuing to offer the opportunity for children to attend lunch club at the end of their morning session from 12-1pm, This will be at a cost of £3 per session and is payable in advance.
We are encouraging healthy eating in our setting by providing a healthy options at snack time. We ask kindly if your child’s lunch could be as healthy as possible with only one small treat.
Please no sweets or nuts.
Dates for your Diary:
Healthy Eating — Smile award Thursday 26th April in the evening.
Thank you very much
